Marc-André ter Stegen says he can imagine a future return to Borussia Mönchengladbach whom he left to join FC Barcelona in 2014.

"Gladbach is an oustanding club for me, and of course it would be nice to return someday. Maybe it doesn't have to be as a footballer, but afterwards. You should never rule out anything," ter Stegen said in an interview with Sky.

At the moment, however, the 27-year-old isn't thinking about leaving FC Barcelona.

"I have a contract with Barca for another three years. We are a top club, we play for the biggest titles in Europe, so there is no reason to think about a transfer," the goalkeeper said.

Ter Stegen played 127 games for Gladbach before his move to Spain.
