BVB boss Michael Zorc still hopeful of keeping Achraf Hakimi beyond the summer

No decision has been made on Achraf Hakimi's future yet, says BVB boss Michael Zorc.
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc remains hopeful that it will be possible to keep Real Madrid loanee Achraf Hakimi beyond the summer.

Hakimi's loan deal runs out in the summer, and Zorc claims it isn't clear yet if the full-back will stay or return to Real Madrid.

"We have already repeatedly expressed an interest in keeping Achraf beyond the summer. But it's not the time to make a decision about that now," Zorc told reporters at a press conference today.

"It ultimately depends on him and Real Madrid. No decision has been made yet. We'll have talks in the coming weeks and months," he added.

Hakimi has made 53 appearances, racking up nine goals and 12 assists, since he joined Dortmund from Real Madrid on a two-year loan deal in 2018.
