With the Bundesliga finally returning from the winter break this Friday, it's time to take a fresh look at your Fantasy Bundesliga team.

The unlimited transfer window will be open until the start of Matchday 18, so you can make all the changes you want.

Below, we take a look at the goalkeeping options.

Philipp Pentke (Hoffenheim, 1M) has emerged as an exciting low-budget option after Oliver Baumann has been ruled out for a number of weeks due to injury. The 34-year-old isn't absolutely certain to start following Hoffenheim's signing of Michael Esser from Hannover 96, though.

Markus Schubert (Schalke 04, 1.3M) is set to continue in the Schalke net for the first two games after the winter break at least as Alex Nübel is out with suspension. And following the announcement that Nübel will move to Bayern München at the end of the season, Schalke coach David Wagner might want to keep Schubert between the sticks in the long run.

While only Werder Bremen conceded more goals than Mainz in the first half of the season, Robin Zentner (Mainz, 1.4M) is worth considering because of his low price tag. The 25-year-old fought his way into the side after Florian Müller let in 12 goals in the club's first three league games of the season. Zentner has kept his place ever since, picking up a total of 82 Fantasy Bundesliga points so far.

If you're willing to spend a little more, you should consider Zack Steffen (Fortuna Düsseldorf, 6.4M), who has been the fourth highest-scoring goalkeeper in the game so far, having gathered 92 points so far.

You could also go for Rafal Gikiewicz (Union Berlin, 7.3M) who picked up 113 points in the first half of the season, only second to Yann Sommer (Gladbach, 11.3M). The Gladbach goalkeeper has racked up 118 points and is probably the best premium option in goal, but you should carefully consider if you feel it's worth spending such a fee on a goalkeeper.
