The report claims that FC Barcelona's sporting director, Ramón Planes, was in the stands for Tuesday's Champions League game between RB Leipzig and Tottenham to take a look at the 25-year-old.
Sabitzer had a great game and was named man of the match after scoring a brace in his team's crushing 3-0 win.
The Austrian international has made 35 appearances this season, racking up 15 goals and eight assists. His contract with RB Leipzig runs until 2022.
