Flick confirms he wishes to leave Bayern, club and team informed
What should have been a platitudinous post-match interview at the Volkswagen turned into a full-fledged earthquake for German football.

"I want to get out of my contract this summer," Flick told his post-match interviewer, "That's a fact. I simply wanted the team learned this from me as there rumors here and there through the grapvine. I'm thrilled with his team."
Flick did not cite his reasons, saying only that they were "internal" and that he gave his final decision immense thought after the midweek quarterfinal defeat to PSG. Pressed about whether he was in negotiations with the DFB for the vacant national team trainer position, Flick said that there had been no formal discussions yet.
"The future is not clear at all. There's been no talk insofar as that is concerned," he noted, "Of course, the DFB option is one that every coach should consider, but right now I have to process anything because the last few weeks haven't been easy for me either. That's why the process of telling the club and, naturally, my team was enormously important today."
Flick added that he's "thrilled" with the team sure to win their ninth consecutive championship at the conclusion of this season.
