Report: Union Berlin leading the race for Hannover 96 winger

Union Berlin have reportedly emerged as front-runners to sign Genki Haraguchi from Hannover 96.

Union Berlin are said to be in talks to sign Hannover 96 winger Genki Haraguchi on a free transfer.

According to Bild, the German capital club are leading the race to sign the 29-year-old, who has also been linked with Schalke 04.

Haraguchi played for Union's local rivals Hertha BSC from 2014 to 2018, making 106 appearances with six goals and 10 assists to his name.

He has found the net nine times and set up seven goals in 30 games in the second Bundesliga this season.
