As announced by 1.FC Magdeburg this evening, the second division club have fought off interest to keep hold of Mateusz Zukowski.

Magdeburg's top scorer from the most recent 2025-26 campaign has extended his contract until the summer of 2029.

Prior to this, the 24-year-old had attracted interest from, among others, Bundesliga clubs 1.FC Köln and Eintracht Frankfurt.

“Mateusz Zukowski is far more than just an outstanding striker for us,” said Magdeburg sporting director Peer Jaekel.

“Mateusz has undergone impressive development in recent months and has become a key figure in our team in a very short time.”
