Official: HSV sign ex-Marseille talent Bilal Nadir

After the successful capture of Martin Adeline last week, Hamburger SV has dipped into the French league once again for talent. 

As confirmed by the Hanseatic club this afternoon, Bilal Nadir has put pen to paper on a long-term contract with HSV.

Since Nadir's contract with Olympique Marseille expired this summer, no transfer fee will be required for the Moroccan.

Last season, he made 28 appearances for the French top club, contributing one goal and five assists in that spell.

HSV also managed to fend off other clubs including VfB Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt in the race to sign the left-footed player.

“Bilal is a very versatile and adaptable player who can take on various roles in midfield," says Kathleen Krüger about the signing. 

“His signing gives us additional flexibility in this area of the team and further strengthens our squad both in terms of quality and depth.”
