It was recently reported that Daniel Peretz had decided to turn down a loan offer from RC Lens to stay at Bayern Munich this month.

According to Sport Bild, Como, FC Copenhagen and Tottenham have also made inquiries about Bayern's second-choice goalkeeper.

But Peretz is adamant about staying put, and in an interview with Sport Bild he explains why.

"I had several talks and offers to go on loan until the end of the season. There was interest," said Peretz.

“Obviously it's good to get playing time. But I talked to my family and my advisers and decided to stay until the end of the season. I really like the club and the team. We have something special here,” he continued.

Peretz is currently sidelined with a kidney contusion and is expected to return in late January or early February.

"I feel good. The injury is a bit unusual, so we needed time and had to do some tests. I needed a few days to recover, so I spent a few days in Israel," said the 24-year-old on his situation.
