Freiburg are now 13 games unbeaten at home after a 2-1 win over Köln on Sunday. The visiting coach didn’t hide his appreciation for the continued success story of Julian Schuster with Freiburg.

"Freiburg work very hard. I have to take my hat off to them, especially since they played on Thursday," said Köln's 44-year-old coach after applauding his own team’s effort in the losing cause.

"I won't hear a bad word said about my team. We played a really decent game today against a formidable home side. On the one hand, I'm not in a great mood because we lost. However, I can be satisfied with the performance.”

Köln will kick off matchday 20 at home against Wolfsburg on Friday night. The two teams are only separated by a single point with Köln sitting two places higher in tenth place.
