After being left off Borussia Dortmund’s 23-man Champions League squad for the season, Salih Özcan has been linked to a potential transfer to Turkey.

According to BILD, BVB is open to selling Özcan for €5 million, though the club isn’t desperate since Niko Kovač is a fan of the player. While most transfer windows around Europe are closed, Turkish clubs can still sign players until September 12.

Three of the Istanbul clubs, Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş, are reportedly interested in the Turkish midfielder.

CNN Turk reported that Beşiktaş’ manager Sergen Yalçın has added Özcan to his transfer list of targets before their transfer window ends. The club could make an official inquiry soon, with the player having a market value of €4 million.

Özcan has been at Dortmund since 2022, making 86 appearances and two assists in all competitions. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Wolfsburg.
