With FC Schalke 04 is still riding the highs of securing promotion, they could soon be in for another financial windfall.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Sporting Lisbon have agreed to sign former Schalke star Rodrigo Zalazar from Sporting Braga.

With the free reportedly set to hit around €30million for the Uruguayan, ‘A Bola' suggests Schalke could profit from his transfer.

When Zalazar moved to Braga for €6million in 2023, the Royal Blues' management at the time secured a ten percent sell-on clause.

As a result, the Gelsenkirchen club could make around €3million from the 26-year-old's move to the side from the Portuguese capital.

During his time at Schalke, Zalazar played a total of 55 competitive games and provided 9 goals alongside 13 assists.
