The German centre-halves have apparently passed their fitness tests to travel as options for Dortmund's UCL meeting with Atalanta.

Defensive duo Nico Schlotterbeck and Emre Can are back in Borussia Dortmund's squad for their Champions League play-off second-leg trip to Bergamo tomorrow.

The Westphalians confirmed the positive news via a social media post detailing all 23 players who will make the trip to northern Italy as BVB hope to secure their last-16 berth.

Signs were positive earlier this morning at their training grounds in Brackel when both Can and Schlotterbeck were pictured taking part in their final squad session

While it doesn't necessarily mean both players will feature in the game against Atalanta BC, it at least suggests both are fit should coach Niko Kovač require them to play.

Their return to fitness also comes at a welcome time given Dortmund will host Bayern Munich next Saturday at 18:30 CET. A win for BVB would reduce Bayern's lead to five points.
