After stunning Wolfsburg with ten players on Saturday, Eintracht Frankfurt traveled to the Netherlands to face PSV in the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup. The brand new tournament is serving as the second-best continental competition for women’s football.

PSV knocked out Rosenborg and FC Minsk as Eredivisie Vrouwen’s runners-up entered the competition from the first qualifying round. Frankfurt were relegated from the Champions League following a heavy aggregate defeat to Real Madrid.

Niko Arnautis’ side recorded a 5-0 win against Slovácko over the two legs to enter the knockout stage of the UEFA Europa Cup. They also climbed to third in the Frauen-Bundesliga after a stunning 3-2 win in Wolfsburg despite having to play with ten for over 50 minutes.

PSV are currently fourth in their league, with their two defeats coming against the top two teams, Ajax and Twente. Substitute Myrthe Kemper-Moorrees scored an own-goal in the 96th minute when they lost to the former on Saturday. PSV’s best moment of the early season came in this competition when they beat Rosenborg 4-0 after losing the first-leg 3-0 in Trondheim.
