Union Berlin defender has higher release clause for Premier League clubs

Bild reports that Leopold Querfeld has a release clause in his contract, which is slightly higher for Premier League clubs.

1. FC Union Berlin centre-back Leopold Querfeld reportedly has a release clause in his contract.

According to Bild, the clause is set at €11 million for Bundesliga clubs and €15 million for Premier League clubs.

Querfeld has been linked with clubs in Germany, England, France and Italy.

The 22-year-old was one of Union Berlin’s standout performers in the 2025/26 season, scoring seven goals in 34 appearances.

He has been capped five times by Austria, but was left out of his country’s World Cup squad.
