According to Sky Germany, West Ham United have made an offer for Werder Bremen goalkeeper Michael Zetterer.
However, the sum doesn't quite meet the Bundesliga club's demands with the bosses currently demanding €5million.
Normally, that's small change for the Hammers, but the Premier League representative is also considering alternatives.
Dominik Livakovic from Fenerbahce is said to be another option on the East Londoners' list should Zetterer or Bremen decline.
If Zetterer were to leave, Bremen's 21-year-old shot-stopper Mio Backhaus would likely move up to the number one spot.
The young goalkeeper enjoys a high reputation in Bremen and is expected to be entrusted as the club's future first-choice goalkeeper anyway.
