RB Leipzig appear to have beaten off competition from Bayern Munich in the race for Xavi Simons.

According to Sky Germany, the 21-year-old has decided to spend another season on loan at Red Bull Arena, where he established himself as a key player in the 2023/24 campaign.

The report claims that PSG and Leipzig are currently working out the final details, with an official announcement expected soon.

For a long while, Bayern looked like the favorites to sign Simons, but the Bavarians have now shifted their focus to Stade Rennes winger Désiré Doué.
