Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies has made a swift return to running practice after suffering an injury setback last week.

The German champions provided an update on the Canadian international on Monday, revealing that he completed his first running laps at Säbener Straße since sustaining the injury.

Davies came on and was later substituted during Bayern’s 6-1 Champions League round-of-16 first-leg win over Atalanta after picking up a hamstring strain.

The 25-year-old has spent significant time on the sidelines this season, making just 13 appearances for Bayern so far.

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany recently stated that he hopes to have Davies available again after the international break.
