Report: Amiri has small release clause, Frankfurt and Stuttgart interested

Sky Germany is reporting that Nadiem Amiri has a release clause of less than €5 million and that Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart are interested in the Mainz midfielder.

Nadiem Amiri has made a huge impact for Mainz since joining the club from Bayer Leverkusen in January.

As such, it's no surprise that the midfielder has caught the eye of other clubs, with Sky Germany reporting that both Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart are monitoring him.

According to the German media outlet, there is a release clause in the 27-year-old's contract of less than €5 million, making it unlikely that he will stay in Mainz.

If Mainz are relegated, the report claims, Amiri would be free to leave the club on a free transfer as his contract is not valid for the 2. Bundesliga.

The 27-year-old has made 13 appearances for Mainz so far, scoring once and providing three assists.
