Uchenna Ogundu has joined FC Augsburg just before the winter transfer window closed.

The 19-year-old arrives from Turkish side Alanyaspor on a contract until 2031, with reports suggesting Augsburg paid around €4.5 million for the talented forward.

“We’re very pleased that Uchenna has chosen Augsburg. With his pace, dynamism, and ability to make runs in behind, he fits perfectly into our style and adds more variety to our game,” said Augsburg sporting director Benni Weber.

Ogundu, who scored three goals in 20 appearances for Alanyaspor, added:

“It’s an amazing feeling that the move has worked out. FC Augsburg gives me a great opportunity to prove myself in one of the best leagues in the world. My goal is to settle in quickly, learn a lot, and show my qualities on the pitch. I can’t wait to make my debut at the WWK ARENA and experience the atmosphere.”
