Over the summer, Bayer Leverkusen loaned Matej Kovar to Dutch Eredivisie side PSV.

Now, the Czech goalkeeper’s move to the Dutch club has been made permanent, with Bayer confirming that PSV's recent 5-1 victory over Excelsior triggered the purchase obligation.

Bayer 04 will reportedly receive a transfer fee of around €5 million for Kovar the same amount they paid to sign him from Manchester United in 2023.

According to Kicker, Leverkusen also have a sell-on clause in place for the 25-year-old.

Kovar made a total of 32 appearances for Die Werkself and has established himself as PSV's first-choice goalkeeper this season, featuring 26 times so far.
