According to BILD, Bayern Munich tried hard to sign Eintracht Frankfurt top talent Niko Iličević during the summer transfer window.
Just like they did with Lennart Karl in 2022, the German record champions were hoping to lure the 15-year-old talent to Bavaria.
Meanwhile, FC Barcelona were also interested, however Frankfurt did everything in their power to keep Iličević at the time.
The Hessen club managed to tie him down to a new contract, which automatically becomes professional on his 18th-birthday.
Given his enormous potential, the youngster could apparently even make his Bundesliga debut as soon as he turns 16.
The popular tabloid understands that new Germany national team head coach Jurgen Jürgen Klopp has taken notice of Iličević.
