Bayern Munich have reportedly put their contract extension talks with Alphonso Davies on hold until further notice, as they are unwilling to meet his wage demands.

With less than a year left on his contract with Bayern Munich, Alphonso Davies' future remains up in the air.

The parties have been negotiating a new deal for some time, but have yet to reach an agreement on a deal beyond the summer of 2025, with the player's salary being the sticking point.

According to Bild's head of football, Christian Falk, talks are currently on hold as Bayern are refusing to negotiate with Davies' agent, Nick Huoseh, as long as he's demanding more than €20 million a year for his client.

Davies is understood to be keen on a move to Real Madrid, but Manchester United, who are also said to be interested, could be a real alternative if they're willing to match his wage demands.

The 23-year-old has been a regular starter under Vincent Kompany this season, making eight appearances.
