RB Leipzig are pushing to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach's Rocco Reitz, considering him a top transfer target for the summer.

According to Sky, Leipzig – with Jürgen Klopp also involved – see him as a top replacement for Kevin Kampl and/or Xaver Schlager.

Austrian midfielder Schlager could leave on a free transfer at the end of the current 2025-26 season when his contract expires.

As for Kevin Kampl, the Slovenian veteran bid an emotional farewell as he left Leipzig on Saturday for personal reasons.

Meanwhile, Gladbach's 22-year-old star Reitz has a €28million release clause which will be active in the summer.

Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen and Brighton are also interested, but Leipzig are said to be the in the driving seat.
