The 19-year-old right back is seen as a potential back-up candidate if Feyenoord's Read doesn't join the Bavarians.

Reports emerged last week that Bayern Munich were scouting Givairo Read during Feyenoord's Europa League match against VfB Stuttgart.

A fee of €25-30 million is being discussed for the 19-year-old, and the Bavarians have begun talks with his representatives sources suggest.

However, Bayern's intensive scouting for a right-back has now expanded far to the east of the Europe as reported by Sportske Novosti.

A scout from the Munich club was present at the HNK Hajduk Split vs. NS Osijek match to observe another talent in Luka Hodak.

Hajduk recently extended Hodak's contract until 2029 after sporting director Goran Vučević had already worked with him during preseason.

A departure of the 19-year-old over winter is therefore considered unlikely, but Bayern, led by Max Eberl, is already weighing up a swoop.
