When Bayern Munich sold Nestory Irankunda to Watford for a reported €3 million in 2025, they negotiated a 50% sell-on clause – an arrangement that could now pay off significantly.

According to A Bola, Sporting CP are closing in on the signing of the 20-year-old, having offered €15 million, while Watford are holding out for €20 million.

If a deal is agreed, Bayern can look forward to a substantial financial boost, with €10 million heading their way if Watford secure the fee they are demanding.

Irankunda joined Bayern from Adelaide United for €900,000 in the summer of 2024 but never made his senior debut for the Bavarians before leaving the club a year later.
