Jamal Musiala will not be on the plane to Asia with the Bayern Munich team on Saturday 1 August, TZ München reports.

Instead, the attacking midfielder will stay in Munich and train individually at Säbener Straße towards making a full recovery.

As soon as Vincent Kompany's team returns from their pre-season tour, Musiala is expected to resume team training.

If everything goes according to plan, the player will likely feature in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against Dortmund on 22 August.

There's a big hope that, after having a metal plate removed from his left foot, Musiala will be able to play with more freedom once again.
