Portuguese newspaper Record claims that SC Freiburg have agreed a deal with Benfica to sign Jan-Niklas Beste.

SC Freiburg are reportedly close to completing the signing of former Heidenheim winger Jan-Niklas Beste from Benfica.

According to Portuguese newspaper Record, the two clubs have agreed on a transfer fee of €10 million.

With the deal close to completion, Beste will not be in Benfica's squad for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Juventus.

Beste, 26, joined Benfica from Heidenheim last summer for a reported fee of 8 million. Since then, he has made just five league starts.
