Earlier this month, Borussia Dortmund confirmed that Julian Brandt will leave the club on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.

Now, according to Tuttosport, the Black and Yellows have identified a potential replacement for the attacking midfielder.

The Italian outlet reports that BVB are monitoring Torino’s Nikola Vlašić, with head coach Niko Kovač understood to be an admirer of the Croatian international.

The 28-year-old is enjoying a strong season in Serie A, having scored seven goals and provided three assists so far.

With negotiations over a contract extension proving difficult, Torino may look to cash in on Vlašić during the summer transfer window.

Vlašić’s current contract with Torino runs until 2027, with an option to extend for an additional year.
