Having monitored FC Barcelona's Héctor Fort for some time, Borussia Dortmund have recently intensified their efforts to sign the 20-year-old right-back, according to Bild.

Talks between the two clubs are said to be underway, with Fort open to making the switch to Signal Iduna Park.

However, no agreement is in sight yet, with Barcelona's €20 million asking price reportedly the main sticking point.

Following their recent signings of Giannis Konstantelias and Joey Veerman, Dortmund are reluctant to spend that amount outright and would prefer a loan deal or another more cost-effective arrangement.

Should they ultimately be unable to reach an agreement for Fort, Dortmund could instead turn their attention to Chelsea's Josh Acheampong or Torino's Marcus Pedersen, who have reportedly also been identified as alternatives.
