Gladbach confirm Koné has been released for transfer talks

Borussia Mönchengladbach have confirmed that midfielder Manu Kouadio Koné is not in this evening's match-day squad due to a possible imminent transfer.

Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Man Koné - as confirmed by the club itself - has not been included in head-coach Gerardo Seoane's match-day squad due to a possible imminent transfer to another club. The 23-year-old French youth international and Olympic representative has recently been linked with a move to AC Milan, but the two sides were reportedly very far apart on the transfer fee.

Koné currently maintains an estimated market worth of €20 million in the latest transfermarkt update. Gladbach are said to be demanding €25 million for him whilst the Serie A side are only offering €16 million. It remains to be seen whether or not a deal can be completed. At his peak estimated market worth last summer, Koné was regarded to be a €40 million player.
