Gladbach give update on long list of injuries

Gladbach have provided an update on their long list of absentees, which includes Jonas Omlin and Franck Honorat.

Borussia Mönchengladbach are sweating over the fitness of a number of players ahead of their home game against Union Berlin at Borussia-Park on Sunday.

As Die Fohlen announced on Tuesday, Maximilian Wöber is out with a minor thigh strain sustained in last week's 4-3 defeat to Hoffenheim.

Jonas Omlin (thigh problem) and Franck Honorat (knee ligament strain), who both missed the match against Hoffenheim, also did not train on Tuesday.

Jordan (recovering from a hamstring strain), Tony Jantschke (adductor problems), Grant-Leon Ranos (ankle injury), Christoph Kramer (illness) and Simon Walde (high ankle sprain) also remain out.

On the positive side for Gladbach, Manu Koné completed part of the training session on Tuesday as he continues his recovery from a thigh strain.

“Manu has made a big step forwards. We’ll see how he develops over the next few days," said Gladbach coach Gerardo Seoane.
