According to Sky Germany's sources, Borussia Mönchengladbach has a concrete interest in signing Hannover 96 star Enzo Leopold.

The central midfielder is available on a free transfer this summer, and could prove to be a cost-effective replacement for Rocco Reitz.

It has been noted that other sides from the Bundesliga could rival Gladbach, meanwhile some clubs in the MLS are also interested.

However, Leopold would prefer a move to the Bundesliga, especially after the disappointment of Hannover missing out on promotion.

The 25-year-old – together with Rani Khedira whom the Foals are still interested in – the duo could form a new midfield axis for the club.

Over the course of the 2.Bundesliga campaign, the Hannover made 33, appearances whilst providing three goals in total.
