Guirassy leaves Stuttgart future open amid Dortmund links

Serhou Guirassy has refused to guarantee he will stay at VfB Stuttgart amid reports linking him with Borussia Dortmund.

Serhou Guirassy enjoyed an extraordinary 2023/24 season with VfB Stuttgart, scoring 28 goals in 28 Bundesliga appearances to help the club to a sensational second place finish.

With that in mind, it's no surprise that he's attracting interest from other clubs, with Borussia Dortmund said to be among his biggest suitors.

The fact that the 28-year-old has a release clause set at a reported €17.5 million will not make it any easier for Stuttgart to keep him.

At this stage, it appears that Guirassy has yet to make a decision on his future.

Asked by Bild if he will stay at Stuttgart, the Guinea international replied with a "maybe".

Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth said on Saturday that the Swabian club are not "chanceless" when it comes to keeping Guirassy.
