Kicker Report: Leipzig and PSG finalize new loan deal for Simons

Germany's preeminent footballing publication reports that RB Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain have come to an agreement on a renewed loan out for star Dutch attacker Xavi Simons.

In line with the player's own wishes, RB Leipzig have reportedly worked out the details to keep star Dutch attacker Xavi Simons in Saxony for another season. Germany's Kicker Magazine reports that the German Red Bulls and the 21-year-old's parent club of PSG have worked out the final details of a renewed loan arrangement. The €80-million-valued 20-times-capped international recently opted for Leipzig over potential suitors Bayern.

Simons will once again play for Leipzig on a loan deal without a purchase option. One of the 2023/24 German Bundesliga's brightest stars is expected to report to RB camp immediately. He might even be available for a pre-season test fixture against his French parent club next Saturday at the Red Bull Arena. He remains under contract with PSG through 2027.
