According to RTL/ntv, Umut Tohumcu of TSG Hoffenheim fame is being linked with fellow Bundesliga side 1.FC Köln.
The 21-year-old is still under contract at the Sinsheim club until 2028 but spent last season on loan at Holstein Kiel in the 2. Bundesliga.
However, the specifics of the efforts currently being made by the team that finished 14th in the 2025/26 season remain unclear.
However, with a goal and three assists in his 13 league appearances, other clubs besides Köln are likely watching how his situation develops.
Meanwhile, The Express newspaper is reporting that the Cathedral City club is also keeping tabs on Alemannia Aachen's Mika Schröers.
With 21 goals and 11 assists in the 3.Liga, the tabloid speculates that Schroers could serve as backup for Ragnar Ache or join him up top.
Schröers, 24, came through the youth ranks at Borussia Mönchengladbach before moving to Arminia Bielefeld in 2024.
Last year, the former German youth international joined Aachen and quickly impressed those involved with his abilities.
