Matarazzo acerbic, yet evasive, in response to USMNT rumors

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim trainer Pellegrino Matarazzo has denied reports that he is considering leaving his post, though he has not specifically addressed rumors linking him with the USMNT.

Hoffenheim striker Andrej Kramaric has also taken to instagram to deny reports that he had personal problems with his gaffer.

Both TSG 1899 Hoffenheim trainer Pellegrino Matarazzo and striker Andrej Kramaric have responded to rumors thatproblems within the club's team and front office may lead to Matarazzo leaving Kraichgau to coach the USMNT. Both actors issued statements after a Sunday pre-season test fixture against Ipswich town.

Kramaric - writing on his instagram feed - insisted that reports originating in Germany's main sporting tabloid concerning problems with Matarazzo were false. "Sport Bild" specifically claimed that Kramaric voiced critical concerns about his coach. The 33-year-old Croat marksmen denied these rumors explicitly.

"The reports in the media about alleged problems between the team and our coach are simply a lie," Kramaric wrote, "It's not just me who is absolutely behind Rino [Matarazzo], but the whole team."

The 46-year-old himself strongly denied the exit links, though most all reputable German footballing media sources confirm that the American FA has tendered him an offer. Matarazzo's words didn't address the USMNT rumors directly. Instead, the Italian American gaffer simply re-affirmed his commitment to the Sinsheimers in post-match comments.

"These are false statements," Matarazzo said, "I never said that I wanted to leave our club. Anyone who watches me in training and matches will notice that I'm fully committed here. I am fully present as the coach of TSG Hoffenheim."
