France kicked off their World Cup with a 3-1 win over Senegal on Tuesday night, and Bayern Munich star Michael Olise was at the heart of the victory.
While Kylian Mbappé finished the match with a brace, it was Olise who was named Player of the Match after an outstanding display.
After a subdued first half from France, Olise came to life after the break, producing several moments of brilliance.
The 23-year-old provided the creative spark Didier Deschamps’ side had been lacking, most notably with a sensational pass to set up Mbappé’s opening goal.
France will be back in action on June 22, when Olise and his teammates take on Iraq at 23:00 CEST.
