Currently in a training camp in South Tyrol, 1. FC Nürnberg are linked with a former FC Barcelona defender. Rennes’ center-back Mikayil Faye could be the reinforcement they look for in the defensive department, also because of his versatility to play as a left-back.
Sky Sports reported the 2. Bundesliga outfit are interested in the 22-year-old for the new season. Miroslav Klose said the club need to approach the transfer market slowly in an interview with a local outlet.
Faye spent last season on loan at US Cremonese, where he only started twice for the eventually relegated Serie A side. The Senegalese was unable to feature for the first-team of Spanish giants Barcelona before joining Rennes for €10.3 million in 2024.
