After 12 years at Borussia Dortmund, an era will come to an end when Marco Reus leaves the club this summer.

It's not yet clear who his next club will be, but a clear favorite appears to have emerged in the race for his signature.

According to respected journalist Cesar Luis Merlo as well as The Athletic, representatives from LA Galaxy were at Wembley for Saturday's Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid to hold talks with Reus' agent, Dirk Hebel.

The Athletic goes so far as to say that the MLS club are in advanced talks to sign the 35-year-old veteran.

Charlotte FC first made an offer for Reus, securing his discovery rights, and therefore, due to MLS rules, LA Galaxy must reach an agreement with them before they can sign him.

According to The Athletic, this agreement has been reached, so LA Galaxy can now focus on agreeing personal terms with Reus.
