As Germany's meeting with Luxembourg tomorrow night nears, Julian Nagelsmann has been forced into some decision making.

Speaking at today's press conference, he revealed that Jonathan Tah will wear the armband as Ridle Baku replaces the injured Joshua Kimmich.

"Jona [Tah] is in the team council. Unfortunately not many of them are available. Jona deserved it through his performances.

"Also his position, as he has the game in front of him. He's playing a very good season at Bayern alongside Upa.

“Ridle Baku will replace Joshua Kimmich in the starting lineup tomorrow. Jonathan Tah will wear the captain's armband," he added.

A win over Luxembourg will put Germany in a handsome position to qualify for the 2026 World Cup with a final game against Slovakia to follow.
