According to BILD, "around half a dozen" German clubs are showing interest in 1.FC Nürnberg's rising star Rafael Lubach.

The popular tabloid specifically mentions SC Freiburg and VfL Wolfsburg, although potential relegation could thwart the latter's plans.

Meanwhile, 2.Bundesliga side Nürnberg are generally open to negotiations given that the midfielder's contract expires in 2027.

But after all, the club's business model has been based for some time on developing young talents and selling them on for high prices.

The likes of Caspar Jander (€12million to Southampton) and Can Uzun (€11million to Eintracht Frankfurt) act as prime examples.

In the case of Lubach, with 5 goals and one assist in 22 games this season, a similar fee received for that of Jens Castrop is expected.

Ex-Nürnberg talent Castrop, now 22-years-old, moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach last summer for €4.5million.
