Bayern Munich have discussed Hamburger SV goalkeeper Daniel Heuer-Fernandes as a potential back up to Jonas Urbig next season.
However, this scenario may only come about if current first-choice Manuel Neuer decides to retire at the end of the current campaign.
Meanwhile, Heuer-Fernandes' contract expires this summer, but will automatically extend by one year if HSV avoid relegation.
The club would like to keep the Portuguese goalkeeper, but would not stand in his way if he seeks a new challenge in his career.
Heuer-Fernandes, now 33-years-old, has kept the joint-fifth best clean sheet total this season with 6 in 27 Bundesliga games.
