The round of 16 in the Champions League was a learning experience for Italian side Atalanta Bergamo, who lost to Bayern Munich 10-2 on aggregate.

Atalanta coach Raffaele Palladino made some nice remarks about Vincent Kompany's Bayern Munich side after the second leg:

“I want to congratulate Bayern, Vincent Kompany, and wish them the best of luck. We faced the best team in the world and our goal was to give it our all. We have to accept the result with humility and compliment the opponent. We learned a lot from these two games.”

FC Bayern now move to the quarter finals of the competition where they will face an old rival: Real Madrid.
