Borussia Dortmund coach Marco Rose is set to make a late decision on Erling Haaland's availability for Saturday's Bundesliga clash with Greuther Fürth.

Providing a squad update at the pre-match press conference, Rose revealed that the Norwegian star striker is a doubt due to illness.

"Erling Haaland was absent yesterday due to illness. We'll have to see how it goes with him tomorrow."

Rose also confirmed there will be no returnees except for Emre Can, who is back from suspension.

"'Mo Dahoud' is slowly getting back into training. Thorgan Hazard will probably also return to training next week," said the BVB coach.

Meanwhile, young trio Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Tom Rothe and Lion Semic will not be part of the senior squad this time, as they have an important game to play for the U19s against local rivals Schalke 04.

"We made a joint decision to let the boys play for the U19s, with whom they have the chance to win the league title and the DFB-Pokal. Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, in particular, could have helped us in our situation, of course, as could Tom Rothe. But if the development of the boys continues like this, they will surely play more Bundesliga games for BVB."
