Official: Hertha ship Piatek back to Italy
Hertha BSC confirmed the successful completion of Krzysztof Piatek's new loan arrangement on Thursday.

Piatek, an absolute transfer bust brought in during Jürgen Klinsmann's ill-fated January 2020 transfer window, has not come anywhere close to finding his feet in German football. Unable to nail down a regular starting space in any of the various coaching regimes, the striker has seen his market value tumble from a peak of €27 million when he joined the capital city side to €12 million today.
No in formation about a potential shared-salary-arrangement with the Serie A side is available at this time. Hertha sporting CEO Fredi Bobic did confirm that Salernitana do have a purchase clause in the loan arrangement. Piatek, recently returned from a loan with Florence in the Series A, remains under contract with his German club through 2025. Bobic called the loan "an ideal solution for all sides."
