Juranovic and Roussillon sidelined for Union, Gosens fit to play

Union Berlin will be without the likes of Josip Juranovic and Jerome Roussillon against Stuttgart, but Robin Gosens is ready to feature after shaking off a knock.
Union Berlin have received mixed news on the injury front ahead of their game against VfB Stuttgart this weekend.

As confirmed by Union coach Urs Fischer at his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Josip Juranovic and Jerome Roussillon will both miss the game, along with Mikkel Kaufmann and long-term absentee Andras Schäfer.

"For Saturday, Schäfer, Juranović, Roussillon and Kaufmann will not be available due to injuries," said Fischer.

Juranović also missed Union's last game before the international break against Borussia Dortmund and therefore looked likely to miss Croatia's matches earlier this month.

However, he still traveled to the Croatian camp, and after playing in the 2-1 defeat to Wales, the right-back is now out again, with Urs Fischer not expecting a quick return to action.

"With Josip, it could take a while," he said.

On the positive side for Union, Robin Gosens is fit to play after picking up a knock on international duty with Germany.

The left-back has since confirmed to Bild that he's ready for the upcoming game, saying:

"Everything is fine. I have no problems."
