Official: Stuttgart sell Klimowicz to Mexico's Atlético San Luis
Mateo Klimowicz's permanent transfer to Mexican side Atletico de San Luis was officially confirmed on Friday evening.
The reported upon permanent transfer of former German youth international Mateo Klimowicz to Mexico's Atletico de San Luis was officially confirmed on Friday evening. Germany's Kicker Magazine reports that VfB Stuttgart have pocketed a transfer fee of €800,000 for the 23-year-old. Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth indicated that the move was arranged in accordance with Klimowicz's wishes in a statement released by the German club.
"Both Atlético San Luis and Mateo himself were very keen to turn the loan into a permanent transfer," Wohlgemuth's statement reads, "The corresponding talks quickly led to a result, so that Mateo's transfer to San Luis has now been finalized. We wish Mateo and Atlético San Luis all the best in their mutual future endeavors."
