Union Saint-Gilloise vs. Eintracht Frankfurt preview: Team news and predicted lineups

Here is our preview of Thursday's Europa Conference League knockout round play-off clash between Union Saint-Gilloise and Eintracht Frankfurt, including predicted lineups.
After finishing second in their Europa Conference League group, Eintracht Frankfurt continue their European campaign on Thursday night when they travel to Belgium to take on Union Saint-Gilloise.

The current Belgian league leaders have been transferred to the Conference League from the Europa League, where they finished third in Group E after an impressive 2-1 win over Liverpool in their final group match.

Union Saint-Gilloise didn't lose a single game in the Europa League group stage, showing just how hard they are to beat.

"“We need to be in battle mode. It’s a knockout game so it’s do or die – it’s them or us. We need to be fired up from the get-go," said Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller at a press conference ahead of the game.

"We're in for a hotly contested affair. Saint-Gilloise are unbeaten in Europe this season and have beaten Liverpool. We're up against opponents who are difficult to play against and have great quality, but we’re ready to show what we’re capable of too."
