Bayer Leverkusen are planning talks with Jonathan Tah over a possible extension of his contract beyond 2025.

"We will sit down together in the summer," Bayer 04 managing director for sport Simon Rolfes told Kicker.

According to the German football publication, it will be difficult to keep Tah, although the release clause in his contract has expired.

Having spent the last nine seasons at the BayArena, Tah has previously expressed interest in a move to the Premier League in particular.

Should the centre-back turn down a contract extension, Leverkusen are likely to cash in on him in the summer to avoid losing him for free in 2025.
